Welcome...to GoodCooking.
Your subscription means a lot. And now, you're getting more in return!
The GoodCooking team has been providing recipes (and laughs) via our YouTube channel, GoodCooking, for the last few years and now we’re adding a newsletter to the mix! In addition to the full length recipe videos on YouTube, and our written recipes on our website, goodcookingshow.com, we will be sending out our Substack newsletter with more fun and delicious content direct to your inbox. You’ve taken the time to follow our cooking journey, so now we’re bringing the show directly to you.
What you get with us…
YouTube Channel: bi-weekly seasonal focused full-length recipe episodes all year round. If you haven’t already subscribed here, come check us out! Our recipe videos are our bread & butter where we really get to showcase all the “flavor” of who we are.
Website: written recipes to accompany the full-length videos without the background fluff of a traditional food blog. You won’t find a “jump to recipe” button on our site - because the instructions are all you really want, right? We know you don’t need to know what year the tomato plant was introduced to the United States when giving you the recipe for marinara sauce, so we spare you the theatrics and history lessons. Just recipes. Always.
Newsletter: all the written recipes we release bi-weekly delivered direct to your inbox plus our favorite product reviews/suggestions, recipe ideas for each season, special announcements, and behind the scenes content of shooting a cooking show in our home kitchen. In a nutshell, ALL things GoodCooking.
Who we are.
GoodCooking is a home grown cooking show shot in our kitchen in Los Angeles, CA. Established in 2021, born from a mid-pandemic desire to take our collective talents and create something special in the culinary world.
We are a team of 3: 3 people who love food, laughter, entertainment, and tradition. Gary & Lindsay have been married for 7 years and Ben has been a close friend since we all met in our shared home of Los Angeles almost 10 years ago. We all come from very different backgrounds: Gary is from Queens, New York, Lindsay is from San Diego, California, and Ben is from Spokane, Washington. While our upbringings couldn’t be more different, we all share a common desire to capture that magical feeling of nostalgia and the traditions we hold so dear in our food, our show, and our lives.
The majority of the food we cook are Gary’s East Coast Italian traditional recipes from his childhood kitchen and other classic recipes that connect many generations. We focus on showcasing the food of our families, as these moments in our lives where we’re gathered around the table with those we cherish is the common thread that links us all together regardless of where you came from.
Most importantly, we just have a ton of fun:
This is Lindsay, and I’ll be creating the GoodCooking newsletter you receive. I mostly work behind the scenes, while Gary & Ben are in front of and holding the camera, but looking forward to connecting with our subscribers and making our recipes more accessible.
Welcome to the party. Thankful to have you.
Bon Appetit!
